John Holt, SVP ADP Digital Marketing Group
John Holt is one of the "founding fathers" of automotive digital marketing. Predicting the Internet would change how people advertised, bought and sold automobiles, he co-founded The Cobalt Group in 1995. Under his leadership Cobalt became the leading provider of digital marketing platforms and advertising services to the North American automotive industry, serving more than half the auto dealers in North America. Cobalt was acquired by ADP Dealer Services in August 2010 and John now leads the ADP Digital Marketing group of Dealer Services, encompassing BZ Results, Cobalt, and Dealix. ADP's Digital Marketing solutions span the customer lifecycle, helping dealers and their OEMs spend marketing dollars more efficiently while providing a superior online experience to consumers. He holds a master's degree from the Yale School of Organization and Management and a B.A. from Bowdoin College.
Scott Mathews, Senior DVP & General Manager ADP Digital Marketing
Scott Mathews joined The Cobalt Group as EVP and COO in May 2002. He brought 20 years of management and technology experience to Cobalt, where he is responsible for the company's sales, operations, and infrastructure, including process improvement. Before joining Cobalt, he served for three years as president and COO of Emerge Interactive, Inc., a provider of supply chain management and technology solutions to the food production industry, and as Vice President and General Manager of Key Technology, Inc., an international equipment manufacturer and distributor. Prior to that, Mathews spent 14 years at General Electric Medical Systems in a variety of positions. Mathews holds a MBA from the University of Chicago and a B.S. from Michigan State University.
Greg Meyer, Vice President of Products & Technology
Greg Meyer joined the Cobalt Group as Senior Vice President of Products and Technology in July 2008. He brought over twenty years of technology experience spanning roles in product management, software engineering and technology operations, where he is responsible for Cobalt product strategy, product development and IT operations. Before joining Cobalt, Meyer served as Senior Vice President in the Atlas division of aQuantive, Inc., a digital marketing technology and services company. Prior to that, Meyer spent 15 years in various technology positions at Weyerhaeuser, Co. Meyer holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Eastern Washington University.
Chris Reed, Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer
Chris joined the Cobalt Group in July 2007 as Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. Chris brings over twenty five years of experience in marketing and strategy for solutions businesses ranging from start-ups to IBM. At Lotus Development he led the re-positioning and marketing campaigns that enabled Notes to spurt from $20M to over $250M in revenue in 3 years, initiatives characterized by bestselling author Geoffrey Moore as "one of the most extraordinary marketing achievements in years." He is also the protagonist of a popular Harvard Business School case study. Reed holds a B.A. in Public and International Affairs from Princeton University, and a MBA from Harvard University.
